ozgoelz	9:15a	My Christmas Well Christmas was good. Germboy and Smiler were here along with Smiler's parents. Smiler's dad was keen to cook Christmas dinner and I was keen to let him! Germboy made us a special Christmas morning breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast with watercress, Smiler poured glasses of bucks fizz, our sprouts were part cooked and then fried with garlic and pancetta (I now know what that is, thanks to having filled a shelf with it at work...). It was all very fancy and tasty. We watched many episodes of Poirot, got three quarters of the way through a game of Trivial Pursuits and never finished it despite my repeated suggestions, ate lots and generally had a lovely time. I have not missed a shift at work, despite having a chest infection and cough which has made me strain muscles on both sides of my torso. Laughing is extremely painful, and it almost always leads to more coughing. I am now on antibiotics and I think they're helping, though I may have ruptured something laughing so hard during a game of Catchphrase last night. It's now a new year and I actually made it to midnight. I thought I had no chance as I'd got up at 3.45am yesterday, but I saw approximately 6 minutes of the new year last night! Hooray! Yesterday I celebrated JohnChristmas. A second Christmas, but with added John. Good stuff! I got one of the permanent positions I applied for at work. I have a proper job. Eek!
